We had our first event for our Apartment Complex yesterday, a PANCAKE BREAKFAST! We have 280 apartments in our complex and there is an average of 3 people per apartment so that is there was a possibility of 840 + people that could show up... talk about scary! So we figured that becuase not everyone would show up we needed to plan for about 150 people, that's eggs, pancakes, coffee and juice for 150 people... no problem right? Well anyone that knows me knows that I was stressed out. Turns out there was no need (just like when I stress out normallly, you would think I would learn!) 40 people showed up. Which I was told is an excellent turn out for the first event and other Cares Teams still don't have that many people coming so that was pretty encouraging. We are excited about our next events and if anyone has any ideas on kids events that are inexpensive let me know!
