Applebees White Blondie Dessert

Recently, we were hanging out with some friends and we were talking about desserts. I love them! I think that they are the reason you eat a meal... for the end when you can have something sweet! We were all discussing our favorite desserts and they said that they had been wanting to try the Blondie Dessert from Applebees. I thought why not? You can find pretty much anything on the internet these days so I looked it up and made this recipe...

Maple Butter Sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยบ.
  2. Sift flour, add baking powder, baking soda, and salt; sift again
  3. Add chopped nuts; mix well and set aside.
  4. Melt unsalted butter; add brown sugar and mix well.
  5. Add egg and vanilla; blend well.
  6. Add flour mixture, a little at a time, mixing well.
  7. Stir in white chocolate chips.
  8. Spread in a 9x9x2-inch pan.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean or with slightly fudgy-looking crumbs.
  10. Serve with vanilla ice cream and maple butter sauce ---To Make the Maple Unsalted butter Sauce---

  11. Combine syrup and butter, cook over low heat until butter is melted.
  12. Stir in brown sugar until dissolved.
  13. Add walnuts, if desired.
Couple of things. First of all the sauce was all wrong. It tasted like pancake syrup... which we used the remainder for! Secondly, it lying about the portions. I used 4 oversized ramekins because the 9 x 9 pan would have made a paper thin torched brownie. But other than that the brownie itself was amazing! Just like Applebees! Now if I can just master that sauce! :)
